Everyone loves to get Applause ... It's no different for Star Wars fans, as the company flound out when creating its line of Classic Collectors Series. By offering different items such as large vinyl dolls, figural mugs, PVC figurines, even keychains, stauettes, and danglers, Applause discovered a new market for character collectibles. For the 20th Anniversary Special Edition release of the Classic Trilogy, Applause created a series of toys that were available through Taco Bell.
In 1999, Applause returned with a new line based on characters from Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace. Dozens of new items were created for the movie, including the "Defeat the Dark Side" promotion through Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and Pizza Hut. |
