COMMENTS
According to the inside cover, the events in this issue takes place 20+ years after the Battle of Yavin.

This issue features an alternate cover from Dynamic Forces. It features a Gold Logo and the text 'Gold Edition' where the price normally appears.

Chala Vanen (his name is given in Union #2) appears here, but is referred to as 'Chasa' instead.

The Union series is rife with in-jokes, cameos and celebrity look-alikes. We will do our best to identify them here.

Page 5 — Panel 4, Chewbacca is holding Anakin Solo, while Jacen and Jaina Solo stand in front of them.

Page 6 — This page features Wedge Antilles, his wife Iella Wessiri, and their two daughters Syal and Myri in their apartment. Rogue Squadron headquarters depicts Corran Horn's green x-wing, as well as Derek 'Hobbie' Klivian, Feylis Ardele and Ooryl Qrygg in their flight suits, Wes Janson (who appears to be squad commander, given his rank insignia), Gavin Darklighter and Tycho Celchu.

Page 7 — Here we meet Talon Karrde (and his Wild Karrde) Booster Terrik (and his Errant Venture). While at the Jedi Academy Kam Solusar and his wife Tionne observe some Jedi trainees. The final two panels depict Corran Horn, his wife Mirax Terrik and their son Valin, who is playing with Corran's droid, Whistler. The Ganner and Wurth mentioned here by Kam, are most likely Ganner Rhysode and Wurth Skidder two Jedi introduced during the New Jedi Order book series.

Page 9 — The seating for the tapcafe appears to be styled after the Old Republic Senate platforms.

Page 10 & 11 — The dress designer Vanar ("minimal is maximal") is modeled after a Dumb and Dumber Jim Carrey, while another designer looks like talk show host Oprah Winfrey. A neo-imperial designer creates a Vader-esque gown, complete with helmet, while the hutt designer creates a dress twenty sizes too large.

On page 16 Kam mistakenly is refers to himself, in what is likely a wording mistake. He either got Corran's word balloon, or meant to say 'Had enough Corran?' Kam's look is based on actor Bruce Willis.
SYNOPSIS
At the Vlassy nature preserve on Garqi, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker and his fiancé Mara Jade discuss plans for the upcoming wedding. While Luke is very happy and not worried at all, Mara expresses he concern with the publicity of the wedding. She hopes their honeymoon will be a less public affair.

On Coruscant, Leia Organa Solo is holding a huge press conference on the wedding. However, fielding some of the outrageous questions exhausts her and she calls in C-3PO to continue answering the reporters queries. Han Solo chides her a little as Chewbacca and their children show up. Leia promises new dress clothes for everyone, including Han, much to his dismay.

At the Antilles home, Wedge and his wife are discussing the event, while at Rogue Squadron headquarters, some of Luke's old squad-mates are enjoying the news as well. Talon Karrde and Booster Terrik share the information, while at the Jedi academy Kam and Tionne discuss getting away for the ceremony, and Corran Horn and Mirax discuss how right for each other Luke and Mara are.

Luke and Mara return from their trip to be greeted by Han and Leia. Han and Luke visit a retro-styled tapcafe for drinks and to discuss the dangers of the wedding while Mara and Leia interview some very interesting dress designers. Mara becomes overwhelmed with the poor dress choices and takes off on a walk to clear her head.

Leaping off a catwalk to avoid some tourists, Mara runs into Jari'kyn, an out of work fashion designing twi'lek, who was fired before she could show her designs to Mara. Mara decides to hire her on the spot.

Back at what appears to be a Jedi Temple, Kam and Corran spar while Luke looks on. They discuss Jedi tradition and the type of ceremony that should be held. They decide to hold a private Jedi ceremony and then have a more public wedding for the galaxy to see.

Elsewhere on the snowy planet of Dolis 3, a small group of dissenters are meeting. Banner Sumptor and some other loyal Imperials are approached by Moff Takkar. He urges them to help defeat Luke and Mara at their wedding, thereby restoring some glory to the Empire of old. They all agree.

That evening on Coruscant, Luke is setting up R2-D2 to be the ringbearer in the ceremony, while Mara tells him about her new dress. They embrace in the glow of the city-planet, professing their love for each other.
