COMMENTS
According to the inside cover, the events in this issue takes place 20+ years after the Battle of Yavin.

The Union series is rife with in-jokes, cameos and celebrity look-alikes. We will do our best to identify them here.

Page 2 & 3 — Luke's dream includes images of stormtroopers, a pair of x-wing pilots, Uncle Owen & Aunt Beru, Tarkin, Palpatine, Darth Vader and Boba Fett.

Pages 4 & 5 — The ex-Imperials all appear to be based on different actors: Sumptor looks like Bruce Campbell, Venan looks like Dennis Hopper, Apla looks like Jack Nicholson, and Dantra looks like Steve Buscemi.

Page 9 — On this page, Takkar looks like actor Sylvester Stallone.

Page 10 — Of the five Jedi show at the bottom of the page, Kyp Durron (far right) is the only one that can be positively identified.

Page 12 & 13 — Of the Jedi listed here, Corran Horn (in the all green robes) can be identified on the left page, while on the right are King Empatojayos Brand (though he died during Empire's End), Jaina and Jacen Solo, Dorsk 82 and Tionne.

Page 14 — The wedding location here appears to be Skydome Botanical Gardens.

Page 17 — Characters in the red Rancor include Tycho Celchu, Chewbacca, Gavin Darklighter, Talon Karrde, Lando Calrissian, Kyle Katarn, Wes Janson, Hobbie Klivian, Kam Solusar and Corran Horn. Kam again talks to himself in either a misplaced word balloon or typo in the dialogue.
SYNOPSIS
Luke Skywalker awakes from a foreboding dream, filled with visions of people from his past that he loved, fought against, or killed. He cannot shake off the evil feeling that he and Mara are walking into a trap.

Elsewhere, Banner Sumptor, Chala Venan, Chik Apla and Iry Dantra arrive at Banner's domicile and await Moff Takkar to make contact with them.

Outside of the museum of history, Mara, Leia, Iella and Mirax take a ride in a hovership with a two-man speeder bike security escort. They discuss the upcoming wedding and the men's "secret-but-not-so-secret" event later in the evening.

What they do not realize is that they are being observed. Apla, Sumptor, and Takkar are watching the women and their security, while Takkar points out apparent inaccuracies in the museum. Takkar then gives Sumptor his orders to follow the groom later in the evening and and strike when the time is right.

At the Jedi Academy, Kam Solusar is officiating a private ceremony between Luke and Mara. While many Jedi look on, Mara and Luke give their vows as they bond two halves of a crystal together.

Back on Coruscant in a touristy garden, at the site of the still upcoming public ceremony, Vanen and Dantra check the layout of the are by posing as gardeners spraying for bugs.

Later that evening at the Red Rancor, Luke meets Han and Wedge outside the bar and they enter to find a huge group of Luke's friends for the bachelor party. They all toast Luke, when a gang of swoop bikers come over and start a brawl. At one point Luke is about to be pounded by a Trandoshan, who is tripped at the last moment by Sumptor.

Vanen chastises him for aiding Skywalker, but he counters that a bar brawl would not be the best way for him to die. They at least have honor.

Back at the Skywalker home, Mara questions Luke's ability to get into trouble. He expresses his worries about the weeding, citing his nightmares. Mara offers to banish the dreams and Luke embraces her and tells her that she inspires him.
