There are literally millions of Star Wars action figures out there. It has to reason that, like snowflakes, no two are EXACTLY alike. What are true variants, and which are just the result of the normal aging process? Before you slap down big bucks on an auction claiming their figure is a "variant" or "variation", do some investigation.

One of the best places to start is Rebelscum's very own Photo Archives. There you will find an immense amount of known true variations to vintage figures. Here are just a few examples of what I would recommend:

Chewbacca:
Star Wars Vintage Kenner Chewbacca Green BAG Variation

Take a look here for information on Chewbacca variants.

Bib Fortuna:
Star Wars Vintage Kenner Bib Fortuna Variation Variant

IG-88:
Star Wars Vintage Kenner ESB IG-88 Dull Grey Variation

Arm yourself with knowledge and you'll be a much happier eBay purchaser!

Please note that the above auctions are from the same seller. This does not imply anything good or bad about them ... it simply was from the fact that these were examples that happen to be active auctions at this time. Do your own research and determine for yourself what these items are worth to YOU.

NOTE: If you do not see the link above, it is probably due to your security software. Because some of these programs see the link as an ad, it is blocked. By disabling just the ad blocking portion of the software while still having all the other features activated, such as antivirus protection, firewall and pop-up blocker, you should see the link to the auction.
