After Christmas, I think my favorite seasonal holiday is Halloween. While my daughter was growing up I made a few of her costumes, so about this time of year I would begin to come up with ideas for her to choose from for the big day of trick or treating. She's too old to go out anymore, but I still love to decorate and have a fun time on October 31st.

One custom we never had up here in Canada, at least, was the tradition of giving out cards at Halloween. Sure, we'd send out Christmas cards, and of course Valentines and Mother and Father's Days cards...but Halloween never seemed to me to be a card-giving occasion.

That didn't stop the people at Drawing Board Greeting Cards. Not only did they make Star Wars themed cards for birthdays, Christmas, Valentines, get-well and friendship cards, but they also produced nine different Halloween cards. Included in the complete set are cards with Luke, Leia, Luke/Chewie/Han, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Obi-Wan, the Falcon and a scene of an X-Wing / TIE fighter battle. With matching orange envelopes, I'm sure many young Star Wars fans were thrilled to get these.

Here's an auction for five of the nine cards, complete with their original orange envelopes:
