There's a new Droid Starfighter in town, and from the looks of it, he's a nasty bugger. I won’t go into too much detail where this fighter is concerned, gotta save somethin' for the movie, but I am rather impressed with how the toy turned out. The Tri-Fighter offers an intriguing design, nice deco, a trio of firing projectiles, and a few interesting little play pals. If I had one complaint it would be the fact that aside from looking cool, the toy really doesn’t do all that much. The center pod rotates and acts as storage for the buzzers, there are two ‘manually’ operated bombs, and of course the missiles, but that’s pretty much the extent of it. Though I’m not sure where it would have gone, maybe in one of the three fins or in the engine pods, a sound chip could have added a little more play value to the table.
