Although not every ROTS toy is available in Turkey at the moment, there are however some good news to fans there (thanks for the heads-up,
crazysteve). This is what he told us:
A month after the worldwide release of RotS figures, I found RotS figures and vehicles here in Adana, Turkey yesterday May 4th. They were at a bookstore called Kitapsan. By comparison, Kitapsan's closest US parallel is Waldenbooks. Imagine a Waldenbooks that has toys and where all the books are in Turkish. That's Kitapsan. There are still no RotS figures at major outlets like Toys R Us here yet. Kitapsan is the only game in town for now.
I was at the biggest Kitapsan in Adana yesterday and they had the Darth Vader voice changer, most of collection 1, Obi Wan with the Boga, and Anakin's Starfigher. So they only had some of what I've been told is supposed to be released in Turkey.
For the lowdown on what Hasbro Intertoy is releasing here, check out the figure checklists at STAR WARS Türk and Yıldız Savaşları.Com Hasbro İntertoy, Turkey's two biggest SW fansites.
Kitapsan's prices were great, considering the usual import markup and Turkish tax. They charged 10 Ytl / $7.35 US for each figure, 28 Ytl/ $20.58 US for the Starfighter, 24 Ytl / $17.64 US for the ObiWan with Boga, and I forget what the voice changer cost. They didn't have lightsabers or water blasters, deluxe figures, unleashed figures, or the arenas, all of which I know are supposed to be available here. Maybe someone got there before me and bought all that stuff, but I really doubt it. The collector community here is small to nonexistant.
The figures they had were all collection 1 and there was only one of each. They didn't have #3 Yoda. It may just be that the pegs were too full to put him out. The #2 Anakin was the non-Dooku saber version, and Palpatine had the red saber. They had 2 Starfighters, 1 voice changer, and one Obi/Boga. No catalogs came with any figures or the Jedi Starfighter and every item had a big black sticker on it comeplace with the contact info for the various international Hasbros.
The Darth Vader voice changer had an additional sticker on the front of the package written in Turkish describing what it was and how it worked.
