Hasbro has said many many times that producing all-new vehicle molds is expensive, especially in a non-movie year. However, re-releasing older vehicles in new packaging seems to be a solution.

According to our latest spy report, several vehicles from 2005 will be making a comeback in 2006. First in the Revenge of the Sith packaging design, and then again in the new design for The Saga Collection.

Here are the four vehicles we will see again, along with links to their ROTS archive pages:

  • Anakin's Jedi Starfighter
  • Droid Tri-Fighter
  • Grievous' Wheel Bike
  • Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter

It's not yet known if more ROTS vehicles will be repackaged, or other vehicles for that matter. It is expected these will not be exclusive to any particular store. So chalk this one up as a rumor for now, while we all wait for official confirmation.
