Toy collectors, both old and new, will enjoy a groundbreaking meeting spot in the Unboxing Toy Convention, which first edition will take place from August 4th to the 6th at the Mexico City World Trade Center.

Guests include Jim Swearingen, main concept designer of the original Star Wars toy collection for Kenner, and Gus Lopez, one of the biggest Star Wars toys collectors in the world.

Joining them will be experts like Luis and Josefina Galvez, a couple dedicated to collecting Lili Ledy figures and who have been panelists in the Star Wars Celebration in the United States, Japan, and Europe; Cristian Gauna, a respected Star Wars vintage toy bootleg expert; and Carlos Aguilera, who has focused on researching Star Wars toys made in Mexico, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macao, China, Japan, Spain, Brazil, and Argentina between 1977 and 1985.

The convention will also host five actors who gave life to villains of the original film saga: Dickey Beer (Boba Fett, Barada), Toby Philpott (Jabba the Hutt), Gerald Home (Tessek, Captain Verrack), Paul Weston (Vedain) and George Roubicek (Nahdonnis Praji).

As an appealing extra, the public will have the chance to interact with the 501st Legion Mexican Garrison and the Rebel Legion Mexican Base.
