Tying in with their Birthday Cake Milk - a draft specially made to mark the dairy's 90th anniversary that just happens to have the right shade of blue as the official drink of the
Star Wars universe - this local Pennsylvanian dairy will be relabelling their one pint and half gallon containers to mark International
Star Wars Day 2020.
What started out last year as a prank when Steve Turner, the company's marketing manager, put blue food colouring in a bottle of their milk and shared it on social media has become a licensed - albeit for a very short time - product.
“People kind of went nuts over it,” Turner said. “For this year, we were working on our limited-edition milk schedule. We were thinking it wasn’t that much of a stretch to make the milk blue, and we were already planning this blue birthday milk to celebrate our 90th anniversary.”
Food premium collectors and fans who like to dunk cookies take note - these will only be available until May 4th when the promotion - and the milk - expires.
