DCSWCC 2010 and 2012 Charity Pins Still Available

The Washington DC Metro Area Star Wars Collecting Club (DCSWCC) wishes to announce to fans and collectors that their fourth bi-annual charity lapel pin and an extremely limited quantity of their fifth pin are still available.

The 2010 pin features Luke Skywalker on his tauntaun with DCSWCC's signature Washington Monument in the background, in honor of the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back. Only 1000 will ever be made. The 2012 pin, which was unveiled during a brief ceremony at the club's award-winning booth at Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando last month, features R2-D2 projecting the Washington Monument as a hologram. Only 500 will ever be made. Fourth and fifth in DCSWCC's series of high-quality cloisonné lapel pins, officially licensed by Lucasfilm Ltd., each pin is individually stamped and numbered on the back.

All proceeds from the sales of these pins benefit CureSearch for Children’s Cancer, which funds and supports children's cancer research and provides information and resources to all those affected by children's cancer. For more information about CureSearch, visit their website at http://www.curesearch.org.

DCSWCC has a rich history of supporting children's charities in the Washington DC region. Their previous pins featured animated Yoda, Chewbacca scaling the Washington Monument, and the animated Boba Fett, and have netted over $20,000 for charity.
