Not including the Ultimate LEGO Star Wars collecting book, released by DK in October 2017, the Visual Dictionary series hasn't had an update since 2014, when they published LEGO Star Wars: The Visual Dictionary: Updated and Expanded.

That changes on April 2nd when DK releases the third in the series - the imaginatively titled LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary: New Edition - and promises:
The ultimate visual exploration of the sets and minifigures of the LEGO Star Wars galaxy

Explore the LEGOŽ Star Wars(TM) galaxy with this visual guide to the minifigures, vehicles, and sets from the entire Star Wars saga. Discover every detail of the Millennium Falcon, look around the Death Star, examine Poe Dameron's X-wing starfighter, and find out about all your favorite LEGO Star Wars minifigures-from Rey to Darth Vader. Learn how the awesome sets are created in the Beyond the Brick chapter, which features concept art and an interview with the LEGO Star Wars creative team.

The LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary - New Edition has been fully updated and expanded to cover the latest LEGO Star Wars sets, and to tell you everything there is to know about LEGO Star Wars. The book also comes with an exciting exclusive LEGO Star Wars minifigure!
Jason Fry and Simon Beecroft, the authors of the Updated & Expanded edition, plus the whole graphics and editorial team at DK are behind this book so you know what you'll be getting on the pages.

The timing of the release suggests that it will include pictures and details of the 20th anniversary sets that are coming in March/April, but don't expect information on those coming out for Episode IX, nor the drill-down explanation about the running change made to the assormtment of minifigs that were included in 75188 Resistance Bomber.

But what about the exclusive minifig? Rebelscum can't reveal it today but will be sharing it next month, so stay tuned!

This title is available to pre-order now on Amazon.com, priced $21.99.

Back before the world wide web and social media ruled our shopping habits there was a long-established practice of driving around all the nearby toy stores to hunt down the latest releases. Obviously times have changed and online retail is far more important than it was twenty-five years ago - but has it killed the toy run? What was your shopping experience over the Triple Force Friday product launch weekend?
I managed to find everything I wanted in stores!
I found some but had to resort to big box websites to complete my haul.
I didn't bother stepping outside and ordered everything online.
I haven't bought any of the TFF product yet. Roll on clearance sales.
I'm waiting for the TV series/movie release before I commit.
I've so over it, no more Star Wars collecting for me.
