During the Force-Cast's recent interview (start listening in at 43:33) with Lucasfilm's Steve Sansweet and Pete Vilmur, a caller asked a question about the long-fabled "1138" reference in Return of the Jedi. The caller was curious, as Sideshow Collectibles' 1:6 scale Princess Leia as Boushh figure was recently released complete with an "1138" insignia on the helmet. Was this the answer fans have been looking for?

Steve Sansweet wasn't sure, but Pete Vilmur was on the case. He contacted his carpool buddy from Lucas Licensing, Chris Spitale, who oversaw both Sideshow's and Gentle Giant's Princess Leia in Boushh disguise projects. Chris was kind enough to pass along these exclusive photos of the actual prop used in the film--to once and for all put this issue to rest.

The Boushh helmet is INDEED the "1138" reference from Return of the Jedi. Thank you to our caller 'East Coast Brooks', Steve Sansweet, and especially Pete Vilmur and Chris Spitale for their help in solving this mystery.
