We bring you a sad bit of news today with the passing of legendary Cinematographer Gilbert Taylor. BBC.co.uk is reporting that he passed away at his home in Isle of Wight, England at the age of 99 surrounded by his family.

Star Wars
fans will best know him for his work as Director of Photography on A New Hope, but with credits on 70 films over the span of his career, it's likely that you saw his mastery on more than one occasion.

Rest in peace, Gil and thanks for the memories.

Moving into our nineteenth year of shooting Star Wars collectibles, we pause for a moment to consider legacy. Our photography is obviously recognizable because of the blue background, but looking further back, especially after we published The Man Who Shot Luke Skywalker galleries last December, we've put our minds to offering more classic Kenner backgrounds to our galleries. I love the nod to Kenner's history. I'd love to see Rebelscum embrace a more colourful vision.
