Rebelscum reader Justin C. recently sent off to Hasbro asking if they were still honoring last year's Early Bird Certificates, here's Hasbro's official reply:

Justin C.: I bought a Early Bird package today from Wal-Mart not realizing the postmark had to be March 31st, will you be extending this deadline since there are so many sets still out there?

Thank you.
Justin C.

Hasbro: Hi Justin,

Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. We are pleased to be able to respond.

The expiration date for this program has been extended through 12/31/2006.

We want to assure you that we are dedicated to maintaining quality products and service. We hope you and your family will continue to enjoy our products for many years to come.

Again, thank you for contacting us.

So there you have it, though not yet publicized (to the best of our knowledge) Hasbro has extended their Early Bird offer until the end of the year. If you still have certificates to turn in, or have considered stocking up for the holiday season, you still have time to act!

In a related note, reader Chad G. informs us that the folks at StarWars.com will also honor any unused Hyperspace promotion codes that come with the Early Bird sets. Chad says they were able to verify his code had not been used, and then sent him a new one for a free trial. Not too shabby!

If you do try Hyperspace and decide to sign up for the year, don't forget to name dustin@rebelscum.com as your referral. We'd all really like to see Dustin bring this one home, but he can only do it with your support!
