So many questions, so little space... Many other Star Wars collecting sites also submitted questions you need answered, so if you want to know the latest answers from Hasbro's Star Wars Q&A Session, here's a handy guide to help you get all the info.

Don't forget to check Rebelscum's Q&A Session as well!

Action Figure Insider:
1) You’ve given us lots and lots of awesome Cantina denizens. Keep ‘em coming. I was wondering if you guys have ever discussed a figure of Chalmun, the Cantina’s Wookie Owner? I guess he’d be considered EU. If you ever do make a Chalmun, please make it a better sculpt than the Episode III Wookies!

2) Now that the NEW Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back Vintage collection will be available in AUGUST…. is there any chance Hasbro will make Collector’s Carrying Cases to store our Precious Figures into, like The Darth Vader & C-3PO CASES??? what about the OLD VINTAGE Vinyl Cases??? there were six back in the day…. why not do them again but with better material and snaps??? Isn’t it about time Hasbro start making cases to store your Figures???

Action Figure News:
1) What's the purpose of the two holes between the front "forks” of the TX-130 Republic Saber Tank? Is that forward-compatibility for a mini-rig of some kind or was it simply a concession to production at the plant? If the latter, how about a mini-rig reverse-engineered to take advantage of it by sitting between the tank's prongs?

2) Will the Clone Wars 2010 Wave 1( Aurra Sing, Pre-Vizsla, Mandalorian Guard +) be released in Canada?

AllSpark.com:
1) In the promotional images for the Force Unleashed Star Wars 5-packs, we see two separate Shadow Stormtroopers -- one for each pack. The first is translucent, while the other is opaque with a removable helmet. However, now that they're showing up in stores, both packs have the same translucent Trooper. What was the reason for this change? And will we see the tooling for the removable helmet Trooper's "ski-mask" head sculpt used elsewhere?

2) Ahsoka Tano has given us our very first female Crossovers toy. Are there any more plans to create more transforming female characters?

ASMzine:
1) Was the huge empty space inside the Clone Wars Y-Wing meant to be used as figure and/or accessory storage, and the bar it has in the middle meant to evoke a carry handle? It looks like it was meant to transport characters in both play and real life.

2) One of our readers recently picked up the old Power of the Force 2 Death Star mini-playsets and found himself very amused by the pretty blatantly tacked-on missile launchers and the 12-inch-scale Rebel
Trooper blaster turned into artillery. While the team who worked on those playsets may no longer work for Hasbro, we can’t help but wonder — is this the kind of thing that the Star Wars team is trying to AVOID doing when it comes to vehicles and such? Instead, the team will only use those kind of huge gimmicks where it makes sense, rather than try and make a “Jabba’s XTREEEM Attack Barge” deal?

Dewback Patrol:
1) Is the realistic line going to see even more cuts in what is going to be produced? Is there a point down the road, where it may just be an animated line? P.S. bringing back the vintage card will start me up on buying a figure to keep in the package as well as one to display. Good move and I am more excited about this then the "Build A Droid". Build A Droid was very cool too though.

2) Can we look forward to fully articulated figures like the Sandtrooper from the recent Dewback patrol set (ball jointed hips)? I know there are assorted Jedi that already have this feature but it would be a great addition to the line- if even for the troop builder figures.

From DroidsandEwoks.com:
1) At one time you indicated that Widdle & Ooche were scheduled to be released as an exclusive - is that still the case and if so when can fans expect them? If not, will they be making their way to fans by some other means in the near future?

2) After the very disappointing news that you wont be pursuing animated characters like Princess Kneesaa and Proto One - can you instead give us a few more realistic Ewoks from the made-for-tv movies? We're very excited to be receiving a Teek figure, and while Kaink is good to see - she leaves much to be desired. Can you include a few more characters from the movies, like Chukha-Trok, Kaink (in proper movie attire), or Deej? We realize you making any of the human characters is slim - but how about one of the cool aliens, like a Sanyassan Marauder? King Terak and his soldiers would make really cool figures!

From Echo Base Forums:
1) Last year a Nien Nunb figure was released that was pretty cool, but most collectors still really want to see a resculpt of the Sullustan Rebel in his more recognizable co-pilot outfit. What are his chances of appearing in this year's much-anticipated RotJ-themed wave, or maybe next year's? Also, would he be somewhat short like his PotF2 release, or taller like his most recent release? There's some controversy regarding the height of the Sullustan species so it would be interesting to hear what you think.

2) Nothing would go better with the awesome CW Y-Wing than an awesome Plunk Droid figure. Is there any chance of seeing everyone's favorite four-legged power droid show up in the line at some point, maybe in a hangar bay themed battle pack with some of the clone pilots from the popular Malevolence story arc?

From Galactic Hunter:
1) First off, as Hasbro is undoubtedly aware, there is a growing crusade from, let's say, "Star Wars Reality" enthusiasts who are clamoring for film/model-realistic side guns for the upcoming "Big Arsenal" AT-AT Imperial Walker. [Editor's Note: The AT-ST Walker came with 'real' and 'toy' style guns.] Through the use of all of the various forums the idea of making realistic side-guns (that could replace the "toyetic" guns) for a Battle Pack with Snow Troopers (or another creative Imperial Cold-Weather Gunner) manning them (similar to the Republic Gunship's "Bubble Pods") seems almost viable. Would this be an acceptable compromise to satisfy the "realists" while giving kids (and their parents) the best toy-bang-pow-zoom for their bucks?

2) It goes without saying that collectors (and certain members of the Hasbro Crew) LOVE their pilots (Rebels, Imperials, Clones, Drones, etc.) With The Vintage Collection encompassing the whole Star Wars Universe, is there enough room to squeeze in a little plus-sized love for an X-Wing Pilot like Jek Porkins, and would he be upgraded to the modern Hasbro standard? Surely we can all get behind some husky X-Wing Pilot diversity, right? (No pun intended.)

From Han's Hideout:
1) In an answer last time, you mentioned that the upcoming Vintage Collection Magnaguard was originally scheduled for another round of now-cancelled Droid Factory packs. Are there any more figures from those cancelled sets that will make their way into the line somehow?

2) Recently, you confirmed both a "Sandtrooper" and/or "Stormtrooper" repack in Wave 2 of the Vintage Collection (VC14). We're guessing it may have something to do with the Sandtrooper being a "Tatooine Stormtrooper" or something. Can you clear up for us definitively which one we're getting. Also, can you clear up which Clone Trooper is in Vintage Wave 2 - plain white, Shocktrooper, 501st, or something else?

From Imperial Shipyards:
1) Not every collector cares or wants "more articulation," some of us want good sculpts. And with this Vintage wave coming out that is mostly focused on the packaging and not the sculpts, or any new characters and giving us stuff we already have, any chance we can see the definitive versions of the characters? I think you got it with the new Bespin Luke, he actually looks like Mark Hamill, but the new Hoth Leia and Hoth Han in trenchcoat look funny(hopefully those are just prototypes we saw at toyfare). To me it seems like updating characters you are saying, "we didn't do very good last time, so buy this new one where we think we made some improvements." How about finishing the list of never before made charecters before starting on updating stuff?

2) I noticed recently that the paint on the saga legends shock and 501st troopers' shoulders seems to scrape of if you extend their arms fully (ie at shoulder height). Would it be possible for you to do something about this problem for example take 2mm of the shoulder to prevent the friction?

From Jedi Defender:
1) Have you ever considered making homage figures to the horribly incorrect Vintage Cantina figures? Greedo on a Nabrun Leids body, Walrus Man with flippers for hands and feet in day-glo orange, Hammerhead in his skimpy blue pajamas and the Snaggletoothes in blue and red varieties, both with spiffy belts? That would make one heck of a box set, you have to admit!

2) Are we close enough to July yet for you to give us the full run-down on the requirements for the Boba Fett mail-away promo? Lots of folks are wondering if they'll need five POPs or stickers to get their Fett. What can we say, other than the Summer's a long wait and we're already anxious for the Vintage Collection!

From Jedi Insider:
1) Now that the season 2 finale for the Clone Wars animated series has come and gone, can you tell us if a new Boba Fett figure for Clone Wars will be released soon?

2) We had asked this before and you said no images were available, so we thought we would ask again in hopes someone snapped a pic since then. Can we see what the upcoming Hoth Leia looks like without her vest on?

From JediNews.co.uk:
1) Given the reasoning for pulling the original vintage rocket-firing Boba Fett, what prompted the decision (of which we’re eternally grateful for) to offer this figure again, when it still (presumably) poses a choking hazard to children (and some adults too)?

2) Season 2 of The Clone Wars was great and we understand the child centric nature of this line. With that in mind will we be seeing the characters from the Bounty Hunters episode (featuring Embo, Casiss and others which children really seemed to enjoy) and for us adults/collectors (big children) will we see Shaak Ti as she was shown in the Season 3 trailer of The Clone Wars?

From Jedi Temple Archives:
1) We are barely able to contain our excitement for The Vintage Collection. Many of us think it is the only way Star Wars figures should be released! You’ve answered a lot of questions already on this line, but some things remain unclear. What logo will you be using for figures based from The Phantom Menace? Will it say Episode I with The Phantom Menace under it or will you be “creating” a new logo that just says The Phantom Menace? Also, will all the figures be tweaked (even in the slightest) to make them unique to The Vintage Collection line? Or will there be straight repacks too?

2) Thus far Hasbro has been very forthcoming with the figure numbering for both the Vintage Collection as well as the Saga Legends basic figure lines. But what about the very popular Clone Wars line? Can we get an accounting of the figure numbering for the Clone Wars basic figure line in the new Shadow of the Dark Side packaging? And with that, is it possible to see which figures will be carried forward from the previous Clone Wars basic figure lines?

From Jedi Temple War Room:
1) Bit by bit we've been seeing more and more details emerge about some of the basic figures in the Vintage Collection. We were even fortunate enough to get a glimpse of the retooled General Grievous that will be part of wave 2 of the vintage collection. And this has all gotten expectations up for what the future may hold. With that in mind, when can collectors expect to start seeing the Vintage Collection begin to show up at retail? Will there be a firm street date? And while we're at it, people have been dying to see the new Senate Duel Darth Sidious. Any chance of a sneak peek?

2) In a November '09 Q&A session it was stated that the TIE Bomber may be on tap for a 2010/11 exclusive release. From the standpoint of the 30th Anniversary of THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, where we first saw the TIE Bomber, it could be a very good tie-in with the anniversary celebration.

And since the last TIE Bomber vehicle was released, the growing trend seems to be the addition of highly detailed features and cockpits in TIE Fighters and the recently released TIE Interceptor. With all of these factors in mind how likely does a TIE Bomber exclusive appear to be in the coming year? And would it feature a more detailed cockpit along with the Evolutions TIE Pilot?

From Lightgeschwindigkeit.de:
1) When the AT-TE was released there was a cool battlepack with four clones and a bunch of extra weapons. When the Turbo Tank was released there was a deluxe pack with two clones, some weapons, and a couple of cannons that attached to the Tank. Now that the AT-AT has been revelaed, I have to say, I feel a little cheated by the Hoth AT-AT Battlepack that was shown in the slide show at Toy Fair. It seems to include one snowtrooper, a cannon, Darth Vader, a snow-scout trooper, and a speeder bike. Why does such a cool OT vehicle seem to get the short end of the stick? The AT-AT already comes with a speeder bike and since there's only space for one speeder bike in the AT-AT, the speederbike in the Battle pack seems unnecessary. Also, why is there a Vader in this pack if there were no main characters in the packs that went with the AT-TE and the Turbo Tank? Vader is already in the basic line. Why can't we get a pack with 3-4 SA snowtroopers, the cannon, a bunch of weapons, and other gear that could go with the AT-AT?

2) With all the rumors flying around, let's assume we will get an updated SLAVE I in Clone Wars deco. Can we assume to see a SLAVE I in ESB paint deco at a later date? And would it include a Han in carbonite as a tribute to the Vintage release?

From MouseDroid.com:
1) One of the few things that have irked me for a while is seeing a lack of compatibility in the paint schemes of certain characters, By this I mean the whole range of colors we've seen on Imperial Officers, from Tank to Needa to, by the looks of it, the Vintage AT-AT commander. All these officers should share the same gray tunic color, or as close to match as possible. The orange on the Janson Snowspeeder pilot, the upcoming Dak, share a different, and less accurate color than the excellent Luke Snowspeeder. Is there a chance we'll see some uniformity (pardon the pun) in upcoming releases?

2) What plans do you have for the recurring characters of the Clone Wars series in their "hero suits" - eg: Anakin, Ashoka, Obi-Wan. Surely Ashoka with Rotta the Hutt is starting to get out of date as we move further in to the series??? I saw that you have retooled/sculpted Mace and Kit AND re-accessorised them, surely these types of updates of the 3 main characters will keep some already great figures feeling fresh and new...even top kids.

From Raving Toy Maniac:
1) We've gotten white TIE fighters with little wings. We've gotten blue TIE fighters with little wings. We've gotten little winged TIE fighters with electronics. We've gotten little winged TIE figters with no electronics. We've gotten blue big winged TIE fighters. We've gotten grey big winged TIE fighters. We've gotten white big winged TIE fighters. We've gotten white big winged TIE fighters with (finally) movie accurate pilot seats. We've even gotten Rebel TIE fighters. We've gotten a grey Darth Vader TIE fighter. We've gotten a blue Darth Vader's TIE fighter. We've even gotten Darth Vader the Jedi's Jedi fighter. But we've never ever got a movie accurate white Darth Vader's TIE fighter. Isn't it about time?

2) 2010 is the year of Empire's 30th anniversary and there are some great toys coming out. But you know who isn't represented? The lowly Imperial Commander. Sure, we just had a battlepack with one, but a) he's from Jedi and b) us Imperial officer fans deserve a full-articulated figure. Don't ignore the little guy, are we finally going to see a black-outfitted fully-articulated Imperial officer to strike back?

From Sandtroopers.com:
1) What are the chances that we will see the forward command center that yoda goes to talk the clones in, that are commanding the battle during the battle of geonosis. This is something that could easily fit into the starship assortment as it's not too big. This could readily fit in with clone wars theme you have going.

2) You claim that the comic packs were canceled due to lack of sales. Did you ever think that creating characters from lackluster stories told during the silly Marvel Comics days, and using inferior molds of characters and painting them in stupid day glow colors to match the printing done back then had ANYTHING to do with that? The ONLY comic packs that I've ever seen "pegwarming" have been the packs based on the Marvel Comics stories. ANY pack that contained newly sculpted figures based on ANYTHING that Dark Horse released would FLY off the shelves in my area. Perhaps if you stuck with the more current Dark Horse style stories and newly sculpted figures the line would have sold better. I'd really like to see the comic packs return, they were a great way to get some figures out of the normal realm, and everybody knows that we can always use those types of characters.

3) I think it's great that you are bringing back the figures on vintage cards! I think it will be neat to see the Prequel figures on these cards as well! I am hoping to see a Darth Vader before his armor (with yellow eyes) and after (with a three piece removable helmet, crispy head, and yellow eyes) made on these cards (hint, hint!). The thing I would really like to see though are updated versions of Darth Vader from the Oringinal Trilogy. Unfortunately, back in the day, he only had one sculpt for all three movies! Now I would think would be a great time to update the "Emperors Wraith" Vader and "Dagobah Ghost" versions! For the "Emperors Wraith" vesion, a super articulated version with a more visible skull, along with visible ribs and spine could be incorporated, as well as a better constructed "robotic" arm (many people complained that the red and blue wire stubs broke off very easy). Some better lightning effects would be great too! As for the "Dagobah Ghost" version, the first version was great (minus the mud on the bottom of his cape and feet in the battle pack release)! Maybe just give him more articulation! These are two versions I would have loved to have seen released when I was a kid, and now I think is the time to have this done. What are the chances of us seeing thes two figures updated on the vintage cards in the next couple of years?

4) On the basic astromech body, there are two holes at the top where the legs snap in, and then there are two holes near the bottom, which are for... what, exactly?

From Sir Steve's Guide:
1) At Toy Fair, you revealed a Boba Fett figure for the Vintage Collection. There is some confusion about this figure though. The carded sample shows the Evolutions ESB version, while the in-booth display shows the 2004 vintage-style ROTJ figure. In a recent Q&A answer, Boba was left off of your list of Greatest Hits repacks, which would lead one to believe he has been updated in some way similarly to how the Vader figure is not on the Greatest Hits list because it has been changed a little. Has this TVC Boba Fett indeed been changed, and if so, how? If not, then which version will see release?

2) As you now know, the recent Commander Cody figure has left the factory with his belt upside-down, an occurrence which has proved far too common over the last 5 years of ROTS phase 2 trooper armor figures. This is a relatively small thing, but common enough that it warrants asking about. Would it be possible for you to redesign the trooper belt system so that there was some sort of offset notch or directional block which forces assembly on the belts to work only in the proper orientation? That way, the factory workers wouldn't need to see the visual minutiae that defines the belt as right-side-up or not. On a similar note, many later uses of the R4-G9 tooling (such as R2-T0 and the recent battle pack R2-D2) seem to be assembled asymmetrically so the center foot rests at too shallow an angle thus incapable of standing flat, perhaps caused by a very slight mismatch or variance cavity to cavity. Could something be redesigned in the foot to ensure the correct angle and range of travel for the center ankle joint?

NEW: From Star Wars Action News:
1) As a collector it has been frustrating to see the endless cases of older figures and repacks figures dominating the new case mixes shipping to all the local stores since fall of 2009. To me, it would make more sense to have more duplicates of more current stock hitting the pegs. In regards to the Toys R Us Legacy EU and new 2010 Clone Wars figures, why are they being packed only one per case?

2) The AT-TE was one of the most exciting vehicles you have put out to date (though I'm hoping the AT-AT bests it). With all the new paint schemes of AT-TEs seen in the Clone Wars series, any chance of this getting a rerelease?

From SWCollector.com:
1) With the return of the vintage collection, You've indicated that figures will be limited to smaller accessories and that the larger accessories (like moisture vaporators, torture racks, etc) won't be considered in this line. One figure that would be pertinent to the vintage line and the ESB anniversary would be Han Solo frozen in carbonite. The original POTF figure from 1985 had the Han figure fit into the carbonite chamber, then enclosed in the blister. Would it be possible to attempt this again in the vintage collection using a similar approach? If not, would you ever release a completely static Solo in carbonite with lights and sounds to the scale of the electronic R2-D2 currently in the saga collection?

2) Since it has been stated that Hasbro does have permission from LFL to make figures based on the animated portion of the Holiday Special, I hope that someday you will get the chance to make some new animated style figures that are based on this cartoon. I can't help but think that an animated style Boba Fett, Stormtrooper or Luke would be good sellers. Being that they are main characters, they should appeal to kids as well as collectors. Better yet, how about a box set with a DVD of the cartoon! I am aware that since figures like these would require all new tooling that there may be more cost/risk involved. But figures like the Rancor Keeper, Leesub Sirln, Orrimaarko and many more required all new tooling as well. I personally love and bought all of those figures, but I can't see how a few animated Holiday Special figures could be more of a risk than them. Please consider!

From TheJawa.com:
1) There have been a lot of complaints about Hasbro still using the "barrel torso" first seen in the VTSC Endor Han. It looks aesthetically unpleasing (literally like Han is wearing a barrel under his shirt) and I'm wondering whatever happened to the alternate torso you guys mentioned a while back in a previous Q&A. Someone had asked why, for the Sandstorm Han, Hasbro was still using the barrel torso and the answer was that there was supposed to be another, better-looking torso used but that the factory had made a mistake and used the wrong one. Will we ever see this alternate torso used? I can't stand seeing any more Han figures making use of this ugly sculpt - it really needs to be tossed out. And of course, many of us would still like to get a Han with "beefier" man legs, especially for the long-awaited Bespin Han figure.

2) My son is a big fan of the Galactic Heroes line and in particular any astromech droid he can get his hands on. Since you have done 3-packs of the smaller figures previously (the 2 Jawas & R2-D2 pack) and you have a good selection of astromech droid already produced, is there any chance that you could at some point release 3-packs of astromech droids? It would sure save collectors time and money not having to track down individual droids on ebay or elsewhere.

NEW: From Toy Ark:
1) The footage from Toy Fair had an awesome Vader funeral pyre set with Luke and a torch. Was this a custom just made for display at Toy Fair, or is it an actual battle pack or item for 2010?

2) Is the build-a-droid line going to be discontinued in the coming year?

From Toy News International:
1) Rebelscum recently reported these figures for the Vintage line as rumor:

Action Figures
- Emperor
- Nien Nunb
- Nikto
- Logray

Battle Packs
- Hoth Hanger Bay
- Mustafar Lava Flea

Can you confirm these?

2) With this being a big year for EBS, we wondered would be a chance of ever seeing the following old Kenner toys re-released or even updated;

- Dagobah Playset
- Star Destroyer Bridge Playset
- Rebel Troop Transport

From Yakface.com:
1) The Force Unleashed exclusive battlepacks are now hitting TRU stores, and we've noticed that BOTH sets include the SAME "phasing" shadow stormtrooper that is clear. In the Toy Fair presentation one of the sets was shown to include black "phasing" version featuring a newly sculpted head with removable helmet - what happened? Is it possible that we will see that figure later released as an exclusive similar to how the TAC Stormtrooper Commander was released at GameStop? If not when might we see that particular head sculpt with balaclava worked into the trooper mix.

2) Here is a question on behalf of all the customizers and diorama builders out there. Has there been any progress in trying to standardize the neck pegs (for troopers and humans) in order to provide for easier swapping of heads/helmets from one figure to another to add variety to our collections. Also with the launch of the new Galactic Battle Game and the accompanying figure stands, are there plans to release a separate multipack of stands through HasbroToyShop or other outlet.

From Yoda's News:
1) Since there are so many new strong Jedi characters in the CLONE WARS who don't have figures, is there any chance of us getting any new figures like Adi Gallia, Eeth Koth, Ki-Adi-Mundi, or Bariss Offee, all characters I'm sure to be among the favorites of the series. Pure Jedi awesomeness kids are bound to fall in love. And if so, can you share a sneak peek of any that may be in production?

2) Most of us, including Hasbro, consider the Build-a-Droid idea the best one yet. An idea I think that would top BAD is potentially in your UGH Vintage collection. Many collectors did not pursue previous UGH. A sticker, or a gold coin, did not inspire us to pick up additional figures. How about, if the vintage UGH was a figure that was painted or done up in it’s vintage style, retro deco colors? Picture if you will, us looking for a Power Droid, Walrusman, Hoth Rebel Soldier, Death Squad Commander, a plastic cape Jawa as UGH figures in addition to their counterparts that are purchased in today’s colors. I, and I know many of us, would welcome such a hunt. Please think about this idea.
