As many long time readers know, we've been shooting Star Wars collectibles for our photo archive for almost twenty years. Over the last couple of years we've put a strong focus on celebrating Star Wars collecting in a positive light by simply having fun with the toys we shoot. If collecting Star Wars isn't fun, why do it?

Personally speaking, when I'm adding to the photo archive I sometimes make somewhat screen accurate (or inspired) photoshop compositions. Sometimes I just do something silly. Sometimes its comments left from fellow collectors here and on our Facebook page that inspires something even sillier. Case in point, the nut shot I shot and posted to Facebook while working on some entries to The Black Series section of our photo archive was something silly I did for gits and shiggles but it was a comment left by Jason Mitts that influenced the final edit published in the #23 Toryn Farr entry in the photo archive and made it a truly fun shot.

Last weekend I posted a couple of images to Facebook of what I was working on, and one of the shots was of The Black Series deluxe Jabba The Hutt figure getting his just desserts at the hands of Leia Organa. The image itself was a bit fun, but when Ron Barnes commented that he "really want[s] to photoshop this onto a snowy hill, or being pulled behind a boat, or in a big wave" that the composition took on a life of its own. I quickly threw together the shot linked above based on his comment, and many, many like-minded folks had a good laugh.

Now it is your turn. The image linked above is a layered PNG file that you can use to create your own action shot. Feel free to create your own wild scene with it, and submit it to us through this link (please send images no larger or smaller than 1,500 px wide) along with your name and mailing address. All entries we receive between October 2 and 9, 2014 will be published in a gallery, and our community will be able to vote on who created the coolest image. The winner will take home the insanely cool Star Wars: Rebels promotional Wanted poster set (kindly donated by our own Dustin Roberts).

Now go and have fun!

How would you feel about Gentle Giant Ltd. producing a Dark Trooper Mini Bust from the 1995 Star Wars: Dark Forces video game? It could be a single Dark Trooper or perhaps a 3-pack showcasing the various Phases of production.
Shut up and take my money!
I'm a completist, so I'm in regardless.
I could be convinced to purchase this if it wasn't too difficult to obtain.
Never played the game and don't know anything about the character, so not a likely purchase for me.
No interest.
