Often considered one of the last action figures fans thought they would ever see made from the cantina in A New Hope, the new BoShek figure stands out as one of this year's nicest classic offerings. Outfitted in his trademark black and white flight suit, BoShek offers up a great sculpt, removable helmet, working holster with blaster, and the coolest pair of sideburns since James T. Kirk. While the suit may look familiar to bounty hunter fans, subtle difference set this figure apart from the earlier Bossk figure, and clearly indicate this is not a simple Power of the Force knock-off.

Hasbro's sculptors have nailed the actor's likeness to a 'T.' Anyone who can appreciate the character's role in uniting our hero’s with the crew of the Millennium Falcon is sure to enjoy the figure's nonchalant appearance. In addition to the standard points of articulation, the figure also features a rotating joint on it's upper right arm. Unfortunately, with the pieces of the arm molded as they are, the additional joint is somewhat limited in the type of pose it can achieve. With helmet in hand, the figure looks great, without the helmet something about the arm (no matter how it's posed) looks unnatural.

The helmet itself adds new dimension to the figure as a potential army-builder or custom fodder for other characters seen in the cantina. Unlike other helmets in the line (with transparent visors) BoShek's is solid white plastic with a painted face shield. The helmet fits perfectly into the figure's collar and looks great anyway you turn it. On a whole, this BoShek figure does a good job of out shining the characters brief appearance in the film. With Hasbro focusing on the cantina and the promise of many more cantina figures to come, BoShek is sure to stand out among the other aliens and thugs as one of the more distinctive figures in the line to date.
