For the second year in a row, Hasbro held an Attacktix Battle Figure Tournament at San Diego Comic Con. Roughly two-dozen contestants in two categories vied for the title of SDCC Attacktix Champion 2006, waging mock battle in the greatest Star Wars tradition. While contestants in the twelve and under class went for the straight forward knock ‘em down approach, it was clear the adult players had their strategies and tactics well thought out in advance.

As players advanced through the bracket style tournament, they marched one step closer to the title, but even those that failed to advance didn’t go home empty handed. Adding to last year’s Trophy collection, all players were allowed to select one of five new silver tournament figures: Boba Fett (T06), Luke Skywalker (T07), Han Solo (T08), Darth Vader (T09), or Stormtrooper (T10).

Jordan took the twelve and under category in a thrilling double elimination play off, while Russell capped off the adult round blasting his rather tenacious opponents last figure off the table. Both champions earned a complete set of Trophy figures, as well as bragging rights for the next year! Rebelscum congratulates both Jordan and Russell, and hopes to see them back in the fray at Celebration IV!
