Here's the latest scoop on the Saga Legends line:

As revealed last night, the sculpts for both the 501st Legion Trooper and the Sandtrooper are not exactly what was announced last fall. Since both figures were originally scheduled into the line prior to the tournament, the existing sculpts were used for the initial production. However, once the tournament was over, changes were made for the Sandtrooper to be the Evolutions Sandtrooper figure with the "super dirty" deco and white Sergeant pauldron, and the 501st Legion Trooper to be the SA Clone Trooper figure with clean armor, as requested by fans.

What we're seeing now is the initial production figures for the line. There have already been changes made in the production schedule, so what this means is there will be more unique figures than originally planned.

The 501st Legion Trooper will have a running change to the SA sculpt, so technically there will be two versions of this character, and both versions will have clean armor.

The Sandtrooper will also see a running change. Since the Evolutions sculpt was voted into the Final 4 in the tournament, the tooling was changed in mid-production. Hasbro is working to get the correct sculpt added for the dirty version, but that has not yet been nailed down. Part of the issue is due to the fact that there is already a running change planned, which we can announce here. As has been hinted at previously, there will be a "less dirty" version coming in later assortments...the orange pauldron Squad Leader from the Evolutions set, which was another top-ranking figure. Hasbro has every intention of switching to the Evolutions body to make sure it's the figure that fans want.
