It's been a dry year so far...although the toy aisles have been filled with Indiana Jones, Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, The Dark Knight, G.I. Joe, Heroes, and Transformers...there hasn't been a lot for Star Wars collectors to get overly excited about. While those other lines have some great toys, nothing beats the "Power of the Force!"

This will all change very very soon. Although the official street date isn't until July 26th, we've gotten in a number of reports of new Star Wars toys found at retail already, weeks ahead of schedule. Some lucky collectors have been able to purchase them, despite the "Do not open until 7/26/08" label prominently displayed on the box, walking out with the latest toys from a galaxy far, far away!

Others, not so much. Either the store denied the purchase at the register, or just wasn't possible to get an employee to pull the new toys from the back room. (To these collectors I say this: don't get mad at the employees who are just doing their job.)

Whatever the case, it's very confusing to keep track of what's been found so far. So here's a handy checklist of what's been showing up...or what's due to hit your local stores on July 26th.

Note that this is not a complete listing of what will be out on 7/26....just a round-up of what's been found to date. Hasbro has said that an official checklist will be posted later this week. So be sure to check that out.
