Hasbro Canada has bent over backwards to offer Canadian collectors not only the George Lucas (In Stormtrooper Disguise) figure send away, but also --and in many ways more importantly-- packaging that mimics fairly decently the bi-logo card backs from Kenner Canada. While the names have been translated, the other bi-logo text (Age 4 ans et plus) is spot on to the toys we bought as kids.

Of course, that's neither here nor there, since you are reading this to find out about the send away, so let's get that out of the way:

The Good
Not unlike the US send away, Hasbro Canada's version uses proof of purchase tokens and a special form that is included only with the Luke Skywalker figure. Thankfully, since we got into the game late, all Canadian figures are heat sealed, so pilfering will be next to impossible.

Each figure has it's token taped to the clamshell in a little baggy along with instructions that read:

HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR EXCLUSIVE GEORGE LUCAS (IN STORMTROOPER DISQUISE) FIGURE:

1. COLLECT ALL FIVE 2006 VINTAGE STAR WARS FIGURES:
• 2006 Vintage Luke Skywalker: X-wing Pilot
• 2006 Vintage Sand People
• 2006 Vintage Greedo
• 2006 Vintage Biker Scout
• 2006 Vintage Han Solo (in Trnch Coat)

2. TAKE PROOF OF PURCHASE TAB FROM EACH OF THE FIVE FIGURES [NOTE: EACH FIGURE HAS A DIFFERENT TAB - YOU WILL NEED ONE OF EACH OF THE FIVE TABS TO OBTAIN YOUR GEORGE LUCAS (IN STORMTROOPER DISQUISE) FIGURE]

3. TAKE THE OFFICIAL REDEMPTION CERTIFICATE FOUND ONLY INSIDE THE 2006 VINTAGE LUKE SKYWALKER: X-WING PILOT FIGURE, AND AFFIX EACH PROOF OF PURCHASE TAB IN THE SPACE PROVIDED.

4. CLEARLY PRINT YOUR NAME AND ADDRESS ON THE OFFICIAL REDEMPTION CERTIFICATE IN THE SPACE PROVIDED.

• Offer valid in Canada only for fulfillment at Canadian addresses.

The form has the French translation on the reverse.

The Bad
Well, from what we've been able to get out of Hasbro Canada employees thus far, the big stores don't seem to be bringing these in. While that sounds like an oversight by the employees Rebelscum has spoken to, it is consistent from no less than three sources. When you take into account that we're looking at a series of figures with unique Canada-only packaging and offer, it could become impossible to get them. Further more, the figures are being package in cases of 20 (four of each) with a Canadian only display box. The figures and display for this article were supplied by Rebelscum sponsor Legends Action Figures. If it turns out that the big stores aren't carrying these, it would be very smart to place your order with Legends before they run out.

The Ugly
Uh, the Exclusive George Lucas (in Stormtrooper Disquise) Figure is ugly. Um, that's it really…
