I was going to wait until I got back home for a full write-up from Toy Fair, but sharp-eyed staffer Jay Shepard spotted something in our Star Wars Comic Packs gallery that I thought I could reveal before I leave the Big Apple.

Spotted on the cardbacks of one of the Comic Packs, is a "1st Day of Issue" logo. What is this for? What does this mean? Well, here's the scoop that I, um, "overheard" at Toy Fair:

The "1st Day of Issue" is this year's UGH. There will be a limited edition foil packaging in BOTH basic figure lines for the first wave of each. Then they kick off on July 26, both TCW and LTC will have foil logos on them.

This is similar to what is done in the stamp collecting hobby. The first day of printing will have foil logos and this sticker, and then after that, they'll switch to the normal logos that made their debut last weekend.

I don't know why it's on the Comic Packs in the display, but either that's just a mock-up for the event, or the Comic Packs will also be included. We'll find out more as the year progresses.
