We're back from our first meeting, which was a 6-hour meeting with Hasbro! While we plow through all of the photos, press releases, presentations, and news from that galaxy far, far away, I thought I'd give you a quick down & dirty field report from what we have learned.

  • The Vintage Collection is the official name of the "realistic-style" figures, and the numbering will be "VC#" starting with VC001 Dengar.

  • The BAT-AT is VERY NICE! It includes an action figure...the 2006 AT-AT Driver figure.

  • TVC will not be limited to just action figures. There will be a Toys "R" Us-exclusive packaging variation for the AT-AT, recreating the Kenner packaging. The toy will be the exact same.

  • There will also be 2 more vehicles in this style, which were not shown. Look for them to be revealed at Comic-Con.

  • Bespin Luke Skywalker has ankles, Hoth Princess Leia does not.

  • Hoth Hangar Han Solo wears a brown jacket, not a blue one, which would have been a nice tribute to the Kenner figure. (but c'mon...a repaint is probably already planned...)

  • Galactic Heroes Cinema Scenes are ending, as well as the Comic Packs.

  • San Diego Comic-Con exclusives include the Camie & Fixer Comic Packs, the Darth Maul & Owen Lars Visionaries Comics Set, and a special packaging TVC 2-pack of 4-LOM and Zuckuss, repainted and corrected for the first time.

  • MUCH more to come....we're just getting started!

    Poll
What if Hasbro were to offer a new line of larger scale figures that put a focus on screen accuracy? The Probe Droid is curious if you'd walk away from the 3 3/4" line in favour of something new that catered more to adult collectors.
I'd be willing to start from scratch.
I'd be into it only if they were super articulated.
I'd only be into it if sculpt and silhouette were the main focus.
I might get a few, but I don't think I'm ready to start something new.
    I'm only interested in 3 3/4" figures.
I don't collect the Hasbro stuff.
