The Final Wave Made Official

Although loose images of these figures apeared online just last week, Hasbro makes it official today with their latest update.

Rescued from cancellation, the Battle of Endor continues with:
  • SAGA-044: Luke Skywalker (Endor Battle Poncho)
  • SAGA-045: Darth Vader (Endor Capture)
  • SAGA-046: Rebel Trooper (Endor Bunker)
    There will be a variant as well...nice!

    From the Battle of Naboo (name may change):
  • SAGA-047: Darth Maul (Holographic Sith Lord)
  • SAGA-048: Obi-Wan Kenobi (Articulated with soft goods)
  • SAGA-049: Rep Been (Gungan Representative)
  • SAGA-050: Naboo Royal Soldier (Flight Crew)
  • SAGA-051: Podracer Pilots (Mars Guo & Dud Bolt)
  • SAGA-052: Graga (Mos Espa Merchant)

    But wait....this is the FINAL wave of basic figures for 2006? What about the long-rumored Battle of Yavin wave (Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Death Star Trooper, Rebel Sentry, Rebel X-Wing Pilot)? While not even officially confirmed yet (although they have been listed in certain store computers already), the future of these 5 figures is not known.

    Perhaps we'll see them in The Saga Collection 2007...or maybe in another line celebrating the 30th anniversary of A New Hope. Yeah, no comment on that one...not yet anyway.

    George Lucas has announced he's done making blockbuster feature films after Indiana Jones 5. He states that one of the factors that weighted heavy on the decision was the negative comments made by fans. The Probe Droid is curious what you think about that.
