Available exclusively through the Collectibles Today website, the Ultimate Star Wars Graphic Novel Library is an interesting new group of 10 hardcover graphic novels. The first volume is free (plus shipping and handling), with the remaining volumes following $49.99 each.

When put together, the spines of these editions form the beautiful Dave Dorman artwork from the covers of the A New Hope Special Edition. While little is known of the actual content, Dark Horse editor, Randy Stradley, has let us know that the series is made up of ten volumes, averaging 274 pages each (not quite two-thirds the length of your average Omnibus), none of them will replicate any of the existing trade paperbacks or Omnibuses. So, for the equivalent of nineteen 144-page trade paperbacks ($341.50) or ten 400-page Omnibuses ($170.90), you're getting ten deluxe hardcover editions, which should come out to approximately $449.55.

If you are interested in placing orders, you can visit CollectiblesToday.com for all the details. Stay tuned for information as it surfaces.

UPDATE: The titles have been revealed on the Dark Horse forums, not that they really tell what is in some of the volumes, says Randy Stradley. But for those interested, they are "Seeds of Rebellion", "A New Hope", "Shadows of the Past", "The War From both Sides", "The Empire Strikes Back", "Return of the Jedi", "Heir to the Empire", "Dark Force Rising", "Dark Empire", "Crimson Empire".
