After a year of slow sales and the closure of Toys "R" Us, a bankruptcy that some saw as the death of the toy store, sales picked up at the end of 2019.

LEGO successfully weathered the storm by opening up nearly 200 of its own brand and certified stores in Europe, North America, Australia-Pacific and China, as well as reaching out to retailers - like the Barnes & Noble book chain - who didn't traditionally stock toys.

And now, with the peak in seasonal shopping behind us the shelves in the toy aisles are looking like a Russian supermarket in the 1980s the first new LEGO Star Wars wave of 2020 is available at LEGO.com.

All orders over $35 automatically receive free shipping, and shoppers who spend more than $40 on LEGO Star Wars products will also receive the 30624 Obi-Wan Kenobi collectible minifigure gift with purchase for no extra cost.
