A new OFFICIAL book is coming to our galaxy, directly from France, approved from Disney and LFL.
"La Guerre des Etoiles - la saga vue de France" (litterally 'The Star Wars saga as seen from France'), hardcover 224 color pages, from French publisher Huginn&Muninn, specialized in pop culture, geek, and graphic art publications.

The book is co-authored by 5 known french collectors / authors led by Antoine Bardet, Stephane Faucourt, Jerôme Wybon, with Adam Marchand and Thierry Mornet (*)

This book is a real tour de force: it is the first time a book is released in France before any other country (rather than being translated), and the first time in the past 20 years that an official product bears Star Wars original French title and pyramidal logo.

The book reviews how the entire saga was received in France from the early days until now, French translation, posters, Ewoks, comics, animated, games, iconic toys, consumer goods and merchandise, oddities, comics, French artists, and French fandom over the years...

The book will be released on October 30th 2015. There are no plans yet for an english release, but it can be ordered online from Amazon if you're not in France.

The authors have started a facebook page to provide contents, updates, and various news & events related to the book - you can follow us here in French and English: https://www.facebook.com/groups/laguerredesetoiles/

(*) Antoine Bardet (aka Fansolo) is a french blogger for ToyzMag website, Stephane Faucourt (aka Chiquetaba) is author of Meccano to Trilogo and La French Touch collectibles books, Jérôme Wybon is author of several books and video movie documentaries, Adam Marchand is a french assistant movie director, and Thierry Mornet is chief editor at Delcourt editions.
