Throughout the year the LEGO events team works closely with designers to creates a special monthly mini model that is free to build for VIP children aged 6 to 14.

Could there be a porg, made famous in The Last Jedi, build coming? The image below certainly appears to match current LEGO graphc styles but is it authentic? At the moment Rebelscum doesn't know where it came from but if we had to place a bet we'd put our credits on it coming from the back side of the May store calendar, which we revealed earlier.

For those of you who don't know, on the first Tuesday and Wednesday of every month LEGO Stores host an event where builders between the ages of 6-14 can build a cool mini model and take it home with them. The event is only open to VIP members, but membership can be arranged on the day. Typically these events are very popular and must be registered for in advance.

These have been running since 2009 and according to Brickset's database there hasn't been a LEGO Star Wars monthly mini-build before.

If we've got this right this build is going to be super-pupular and over-subscribed. But don't worry because LEGO provides free instructions on their website (which we'll link to once/if they get posted), and becaue no special bricks are used you'll be able to build yours at home. Of course, this will mean that the secondary market will get flooded with reproduction sets purporting to be the real thing though, so be wary.

UPDATE:

The reverse side of the May event calendar has been released and confirms that over the May The 4th Be With You weekend there will be an in-store Make & Take build event. You must register for it in advance - check https://shop.lego.com/en-US/MiniBuilds for information.
