Originally purchased by the Royal House of Alderaan for use as a consular vessel by Senator Bail Organa, this storied ship was perhaps the first vessel to be used in an act of rebellion against the new Galactic Empire. Organa used it to rescue not only Jedi Masters Yoda and Obi-Wan Kenobi from death at the hands of the clone troopers formerly under their command, but also to deliver the infant Luke and Leia Skywalker into hiding. It continued to serve both the Royal House of Alderaan and the Rebel Alliance for more than two decades before being captured and destroyed by the Empire.
