LUKE SKYWALKER (DEATH STAR ESCAPE) Luke Skywalker (Death Star Escape) - VC39 The Vintage Collection from Hasbro A New Hope

The VC39 Luke Skywalker (Death Star Escape) may be a kit bash figure, but man is it a good one! This Vintage Collection release took the very popular 2008 Legacy Collection Resurgence Of The Force Battle Pack Luke Skywalker action figure and gave it a new head, soft goods skirt, and Stormtrooper belt as well as three Death Star related accessories to create one of the line's coolest additions.

The fifth wave of action figures in The Vintage Collection was sort of a mixed bag. The assortment featured the VC20 Yoda, which was originally slated for the third wave, along with six kit bashed or repainted figures including the repainted VC38 Clone Trooper (212th Battalion), the repainted VC40 R5-D4, the kit bashed VC41 Stormtrooper, the kit bashed VC42 Han Solo (Yavin Ceremony), and the repacked VC43 Commander Gree. This assortment didn't ship to Canada, but the Yoda, Luke, and Stormtrooper were ever offered North of the 49th in future waves.

Next September marks the twentieth anniversary of Hasbro's Kenner The Power Of The Force action figure collection. The line introduced a new generation of children to the wonderful world of Star Wars toys and ushered in the modern collectibles we all enjoy today. Our ever-inquisitive Probe Droid is actively searching all corners of the galaxy to find out if there is interest in products that commemorate this very significant 1995 release.
I'd be into a Hasbro The Lost Line style assortment
I'd love to see Gentle Giant make a Jumbo Kenner 1995 Luke Skywalker
I'm behind both of these ideas!
I got started in 1995, but I have no interest in such a concept.
It isn't for me.
