Last year, Hasbro conducted a search for the best Star Wars collectors in the United States. The contest was divided into two different age brackets (ages 4-14 and 15+) and they received a lot of great entries. Both winners were invited to Hasbro for the event.

Colin Skowronski won the 15+ category, and he was awarded a special certificate. His collection boasts over 4,650 items and he has them all cataloged in his "toy-brary," a special room in his house where he keeps his toys. His collection was larger up until last year, when he gave an entire set of about 200 12" figures to his young cousins.

Andrew Sherant won the 4-14 category, and he was also awarded a special certificate. Andrew was also given an action figure made in his likeness. Andrew chose to be made as a Jedi, which was created using an existing Anakin Skywalker body with an all-new head sculpt. (Colin was photographed later in the day so his action figure could be made.)

Andrew also caused a bit of excitement as he revealed his customized Republic Gunship. This vehicle not only features a pair of side gunpods, but also has working lights and sounds! Andrew is quite a talented customizer, showing off a number of customized Clone Troopers and other characters. Look for his work to be featured at The Custom Alliance and FFURG very soon.

When asked if a similar toy would be released by Hasbro, it was stated that while none are in the works at the moment, we were reminded that the Clone Wars still has a few years to go before Episode III.
