SYNOPSIS
Boba Fett and Dengar have been lead to Han Solo's apartment by Mako Spince, drawn by the lure of the high bounties on both Han and Leia. They attempt to capture the Solo's alive to deliver to the Hutts, but Han and Leia escape and lead them on a chase thru the vertical city of Nar Shaddaa into a landing terrace of the Corellian sector. As other bounty hunters join in the chase, one of Fett's rickets knocks a Hutt from his floater. Han uses this to make their escape back to Shug Ninx's hideout. But as he takes off he sees the Falcon attached to the back of the Starlight Intruder and changes course. Fett and Dengar follow in Slave II, noting their jump towards the deep galactic core.

Onboard the Intruder, Salla Zend and Shug Ninx makes plans to jump the ship all the way to Byss, while Leia open the mysterious present from Vima-Da-Boda, to discover that it is an ancient lightsaber. While gripping the antique, Leia sees that Luke is in command of the Imperial Forces and fears that they may have lost him.

At that moment over Mon Calamari, the alliance Star Destroyer Emancipator is being 'swallowed' by a World Devastator. Lando Calrissian orders everyone to evacuate on the escape pods. While he expresses his lack of skill commanding Star Destroyers, Wedge Antilles informs him that the calvary has arrived. Several new squadrons of E-wings, including White and Knave team, along with Frigate and Blockade runners emerge from hyperspace and begin pounding the Imperial forces. They are able to rescue all the escape pods from the Emancipator and begin taking care of the Mon Cal refugees as well. Throughout these rescue operations, Knave Three is hit by fire and crashes into the lead Devastator, Silencer-7.

An Imperial Gunner informs Commander Klev that they are receiving an improper signal from the Master Control Computer on Byss and are being shut down. Klev orders the override of the signal but to no avail; they have been locked out. Lando and Wedge witness the destruction of the World Devastator, noting that it self-destructed and that whomever is in charge of the ships, wants to lose.

The Starlight Intruder exits hyperspace over Byss and receives permission to pass thru the planetary shields, when Slave II shows up suddenly behind them. Fett attempts to slip in behind Salla's ship, but the shields are closed on him damaging his ship and sending him spiraling away.

The Intruder docks with an Imperial Freight complex, then Leia pilots the Millennium Falcon towards a giant tower where she senses Luke is. They land and surrender to the Imperials while Salla and Ninx, who have hidden in the Falcon, blast it off to safety. Luke appears to Leia and Han and has his Sentinels escort them to him. His master wishes to see them.

Han, Leia, Chewbacca and Threepio are escorted to the Emperor's Clone Laboratories where Luke tells them that they should not have come. Luke orders their weapons seized, but Leia ignites her lightsaber and slices the hand off an Imperial Sentinel. The Emperor is pleased at what he sees and orders her to kill her brother. Palpatine destroys her lightsaber easily and begins to explain the reason why he is still alive. Leia uses he Force powers to drop a storage container on him, which he just shrugs off. Leia pays for the deed with a healthy dose of Force lightning, which knocks her unconscious. The Sovereign protectors take her away as Han lashed out in anger against Luke, swearing that he'll kill his friend if he gets the chance. Luke grabs Hand by the throat and tells him he is trying to save the galaxy, and he might have to die, but it won't be Han that does the deed.
