pre-c5-header

The 5th Star Wars Celebration (well, 7th if you count Celebration Europe and Celebration Japan; the 5th U.S. show) is almost upon us! If the convention is anything like last time, or the one before that (or, the time before that), it's gonna be a monster! The whole event can be pretty overwhelming, so to ensure you have all your jawas in a row, we've complied a guide covering everything you'd need to know to make the most of this galactic gathering.

The guide has been broken out into seven sections:

UPDATE: Schedule Last Updated - Aug 9
Exclusives & Vendors Last Updated - Aug 10
iPhone/iPad Users: You can view these online with a network connection directly on your device. Or save these PDFs to your computer, drag them into iTunes (where they will show up under the 'Books' section) and then the next time you synchronize, just remember to enable Book Synchronization. Make sure you have the Apple iBooks App (free) and you then should be able to read these right on your device with no further network connection.

Android Users: In your Android browser, click the PDF link. The document will download to your device, and you can then open it in an Android PDF reader (such Adobe Reader) in one of two ways. One is to go to the browser's downloads page after the download finishes and click it there. Another way is to open Adobe Reader, click the "PDF Files" tab, and click the document there.

The new 75159 UCS Death Star has been announced and it's 99.5% re-release of a set, at an additional $100, that was only retired less than 12 months ago. How do you feel about this addition to the LEGO Star Wars line?
Ecstatic: it's LEGO Star Wars after all!
Great: I didn't get a chance to buy 10188.
Fair to middling: I like to build and it has some nice new additions.
meh: the UCS range is meant to be special.
Harrumph: 10188 is cheaper on eBay.
Fuming: abject failure in market research and imagination.
