To commemorate a major milestone, Hasbro created The Black Series 40th Anniversary collection. The line, which was revealed in their showroom at the 2017 International Toy Fair, the 40th Anniversary collection features 6-inch action figures based on the ones originally released by Kenner in 1978. The first wave in this special set began hitting shelves at the end of March, 2017 and included Han Solo, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi, and Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2).
ARTOO-DETOO (R2-D2)The Artoo-Detoo action figure on this page is a repack of the #04 R2-D2 from the initial 2013 wave of 6-inch action figures in The Black Series. The quickest way to identify this rerelease from the original version is the black stamp located on the inside of the diminutive Droid's left leg.

BEN (OBI-WAN) KENOBIFollowing The Black Series 2016 San Diego Comic-Con exclusive Obi-Wan Kenobi and mass release 32 Obi-Wan Kenobi that came out a few months later, this Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi action figure is more or less a straight repack. It can be identified by the white stamp under its left foot.
