With the upcoming DVD release of the original versions of the Classic Trilogy, hasbro will once again be releasing a boxed set of
Commemorative DVD Collections. Sure, it's nothing but repackaged figures from the past...but there are some good choices in here.
Commemorative Episode IV DVD Collectionincludes the following figures:
Darth Vader (25th Anniversary)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (25th Anniversary)
Luke Skywalker (Tatooine Encounter) * most recent version
Commemorative Episode V DVD Collection
includes the following figures:
Han Solo (Bespin Capture)
Chewbacca (Boushh prisoner) * most recent version
Stormtrooper (Death Star Escape) * most recent version
Commemorative Episode VI DVD Collection
includes the following figures:
Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) * most recent version
Emperor Palpatine * original version
C-3PO (VOTC)
R2-D2 (Jabba's Sail Barge)
Note: It is not yet known if these will be exclusives or what the price will be. Since past DVD commemorative sets were exclusive to Wal-Mart, it is likely these will be as well...although that's not officially known yet. Also, previous sets were priced at $9.99, which if history repeats, that is a great price for these sets, especially considering today's prices. However, once again, thee details are not yet known.
