You know, for a "non-movie" year, we're certainly getting a LOT of toys this year, right? Hasbro is really pulling out all the stops with dozens of all-new figures and the return of fan favorites from the past, plus popular vehicles for that extra play value.
While there have been plenty this year already (and it's only April!), our latest intercepted transmissions reveal that there are a few more vehicles (and figures!) heading to store shelves later this year.
While we only received names and prices, we can speculate a bit on just what these might be, although as with any rumor, it should be noted that nothing is
official until it is officially announced.
But enough talk....on with the list!
Star Wars ARC-170 Fighter Vehicle $29.99 The long-standing rumor is that this will be a repaint of the
ROTS ARC-170 Starfighter painted in the
Clone Wars Gunship color scheme from the animated series. It's already been done in the
Transformers and
Titanium Series scale, so isn't it time for the action figures to get a version as well?
Star Wars ARC-170 Figures Battle Pack $19.99 The name says it all, but just in case, here's what we're hoping this battle pack consists of: 1 Pilot, 2 Troopers, and an Astromech Droid, similar to the
Sam's Club ARC-170 Fighter set from 2005. Maybe add an additional clone painted to match the pilot figure from the Transformers ship, and you've pretty much got it all covered.
Star Wars TIE Bomber $24.99 Most likely a repaint of the
POTJ and
SAGA ship, since we're getting all the rest of the TIEs this year (standard TIE in white deco, Vader's TIE repack, 181st Squadron TIE Interceptor)....why leave out the TIE Bomber?
Star Wars Cinema Scenes $19.99 No details of this yet, but with the recent Galactic Heroes Cinema Scenes
showing up on the Toys "R" Us website, one would think that these are those sets...certainly not action figures, right?
Star Wars AT-RT Assault Squad $24.99 The
ROTS AT-RT might be making a comeback, with a more accurate deco from Kashyyyk and, hopefully a more realistic driver. It's worth noting the word 'squad', which suggests more than one....so maybe there's an extra clone or two included?
It's happened before.
Again, this report should be treated with a grain of salt for now, but our spies have been pretty accurate in the past...and really good at avoiding any...Imperial entanglements, too!
