My Commander Gree figure has no white markings on the "dome" of his helmet. The image on the bubble clearly shows the white stripes. I have seen photos of the figure with the white/green striping on the top of Gree's helmet and without. Is this a running correction/variation?

Also, I still haven't received my early bird figs. I sent in my receipt, form and payment the day the package came out in April. Do you know if Hasbro is still working on getting them out, or should I take my concern to Hasbro?

According to Hasbro the figure that was shown at Comic Con was a prototype and the figure showing up now (the production figure) is actually correct. While the figure showing up is definitely not 'movie accurate' (based on images from the movie and the figure package) it doesn't appear as if Hasbro has any plans to make a running change to correct the error.

Early Bird sets are currently shipping and the offer has just been extended. Be patient, your figures could show up anytime between now and July 2006!

Will the Commander Cody action figure come in the ROTS style card or in the 2006 style card? If he's on the ROTS card will he be basic figure #69? -Ryan J.

In light of the fact that the Revenge of the Sith line will end with figure #68, if and when Cody is released he will most certainly not be figure #69. Cody will either be packaged in 2006 Saga Collection packaging or in whatever style comes after that.

Now that Wal*Mart has released the Early Bird kit to go with the vintage style backdrop, will they continue to release the rest of the characters for the backdrop? My backdrop looks awesome with the 4 figures, but its kind of empty, will there be more of this particular style (you know, Vader with telescoping saber, etc)?

According to Hasbro the Early Bird kit is a stand-alone item, there are no specific plans to continue with a line of figures in this style. That being said Hasbro will continue to make Star Wars figures and most likely offer new versions of characters in the backdrop. So, in the end the final call will be up to you to decide what fits in the display and what does not.

Telescoping sabers: As far as I know there are no plans for more telescoping saber figures, but I have to think there's at least a chance we could see Vader and Obi-Wan versions eventually. Hasbro always likes to have these figures in the line, year after year, if they have to be there why not include this feature to set them apart from other versions…

I read your answer about the next wave of the Titanium Series being opened up to the mass retail market. What about the 6" vehicles coming out soon and also the figures? Will they be available at stores other than Wal*Mart as well? -Darth Erin

With the exception of the Titanium Series vehicles currently at Wal*Mart (waves 1 - 3), the two Gift Sets, and the two 6" vehicles (X-wing and Gunship), all the Titanium branded items for 2006 will be available for any retailer to order. It remains to be seen which items will be available where, but none of it will be exclusive to any one store.

Any word on if the Mace/Dooku electronic sabers will be shipping in time for X-mas? -Joe

The Mace Windu electronic saber is starting to show up now, I can only imagine the Dooku saber will be back out on the shelves eventually. Keep watching the news, and by all means keep watching your local toy aisles.

Do you think that if there is a resurrection of the EU figure line, will we see an AT-PT?

As much as I'd love to see Hasbro release this vehicle, I just don't see it happening. A; Hasbro is very anti-vehicle these days, and B; Hasbro is very anti-Expanded Universe. Without some kind of media support for this particular vehicle (like maybe an appearance in the TV show…) I can't see Hasbro putting money or time towards it.

Are the forged figures pose-able or just solid statues? If the new bigger wing TIE fighter is successful can we expect to see re-releases of the other TIE variants as well? An accurate scale Darth Vader TIE fighter would be sweet.

Based on what we were told at Comic Con, the Forged figures will have some articulation, but not as much as the basic figures. It's a trade off when you go to that type of material (Die-cast metal), but it sounds like Hasbro is at least trying to do some other interesting things with the line. For instance the Boba Fett figure will feature a removable helmet, a first for this particular character…

Considering Hasbro has the molds ready to go, there's a better chance we'll see the other TIE's released than we will any new vehicles. If the right circumstance presents itself, I'm sure we'll see the Interceptor, Vader's, and TIE Bomber released again. As for an accurate scale Vader's TIE; the current vehicle is pretty darn close, I wouldn't expect Hasbro to do much more to it for a re-release.

I am a fan of the Master Replicas scaled replica lightsabers. For those of us on limited Star Wars budgets, the scaled replicas were perfect. Sometime ago, there was a rumor of other Master Replica limited editions being scaled done; specifically the Stormtrooper Blaster and Han Solo blaster. Have any recent rumors regarding the scaled replica line floated your way? -Jay (current member of the Way Too Small Star Wars Budget League).

Yep, I've heard the rumors and even spoke with MR about them. While they didn't go into specifics, it sounded like this was on their list of things to do, but not something coming up right away. Stay tuned, obviously this make a lot of sense for Master Replicas, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it happens.

I have noticed a 30-inch Batman figure in stores lately. I believe there is a 30-inch Thing figure as well. Are these Hasbro products? Do you think there is any chance of a 30-inch Star Wars action figure? It would be really cool to see a 30-inch Vader or Stormtrooper. -Justin B

Impressive, aren't they? The 30-inch Batman is made by Mattel, and though I don't recall seeing it, if there is a 30-inch Thing it would most likely be made by Toy Biz. So far Hasbro has shown no inclination in the 30-inch range, while a 30-inch Vader would be a site to behold, I doubt we'll ever see one made.

Will the news figures (#57-68) be available to Canada? -Damien Thibodeau

Based on the latest information, it does not look like Hasbro Canada plans to bring these figures into the Great White North. While some Canadian distributors may try to bring them in, the figures will most likely come from either the U.S. or Mexico. If the situation changes we'll be sure to let our Canadian readers know…

Until next time...
