When people talk about the premiums handed out during opening night for the three Star Wars Special Edition feature films released in 1997, automatically The Power Of The Force Luke Skywalker (Jedi Knight) premium for Return Of The Jedi comes to mind.

The two other giveaways forever seem cursed to be forgotten. Some could say, in the case of the premium for The Empire Strikes Back, that it wasn’t a mistake to let it slip their minds. You see, the freebie was a copy of Rogue Squadron ˝ from Dark Horse Comics that featured the exact same story as the Wizard special ˝ send-in edition.

Oddly though, fans always overlook the sweetest of sweet gems, the A New Hope premium. From Galoob, the Ultra, super, mini Micro Machines three pack included the Millennium Falcon, Slave I, and the second Death Star. Beautifully package in a window box no longer than 4-inches! (The image with the auction is almost actual size)

Out of the three giveaways, even with exclusive markings on each, this one stands over the others as the classiest premium of the set. With many of these bad boys torn out of their packages in the theater, not unlike the Luke, you can imagine the limited nature of this piece.
