With a succesful bid by Smyths Toys to purchase Toys "R" Us Germany, Austria and Switzerland a cloud of gloom has been lifted off one of the most profitable toy markets in Europe, keeping the doors open for another retailer to mark the May The 4th Be With You celebrations!

Branches of Toys "R" Us in Germany are hosting a grand Star Wars Event on Saturday, May 5th that will have a hattrick of games, activities and a Millennium Falcon mini-build! Unlike the previous BB-8 Make & Take event it would appear that all branches are going to be hosting the combined Disney/LEGO/Hasbro experience.

Toys R Us Star Wars Solo LEGO event

For those of us who don't have a grasp of German parlance a Google/LEGOscum translation of the text is provided for you below:
"Test your Jedi skills! At the special LEGO play base you can construct your own LEGO Mini Falcon. Who's the fastest Falcon builder and will be the first to blast off? And at the second station you prove your skill and strategy in the Star Wars four-win game. Who wins fight for the four-row? The last task is tricky. Who knows better in the universe and be the first to find the hidden Chewbacca?"
This is only a rough translation so anyone travelling to Germany just to take part in the fun ought to have it double checked first.

There is no word on whether Toys "R" Us will be hosting similar events in other countries, nor is there any news on what the mini Falcon build will look like, but don't be surprised if it's something along the lines of the one created as part of their Solo micro-build series.

Danke viele to for sharing this news first.

I found everything in one store!
I found everything, but over many stores.
I found some stuff at one place.
I found some stuff at a few places.
I found next to nothing.
I didn't see a single product on the shelves anywhere.
I bought everything online.
I didn't bother getting anything.
