From Gentle Giant:

Escaping from a fleet of Imperial ships, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Princess Leia fly the Millennium Falcon into the asteroid field. Landing inside an asteroid, the crew wear breath masks to brave uncertain atmospheric conditions outside the Falcon. Soon they discover mynocks, energy-feeding parasites, chewing on the ship's power cables. As the asteroid begins to rumble, they quickly find that they are inside the gullet of a huge space slug.

This highly detailed mini bust, based on the original Lucasfilm costumes and props, was sculpted and painted by Gentle Giant Ltd. We hope you enjoy.

Continuing on with the celebration of the 30th Anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back, Gentle Giant brings us two versions of Princess Leia Organa in her Hoth gear. This review features the PX Previews Exclusive Mynock Hunt version which includes a breath mask that doesn't come with the regular release. The mask is not permanently attached to her face, but the straps going down the side of her head are part of the sculpt. It blends together nicely giving the appearance that the mask is strapped around her head as we see in the film. The sculptor paid particular attention to the detail of her jacket and body suit as the quilting is superbly done. The eyes are very life like with a hint of red in the corners perhaps suggestion that she's been up and on the go for some time.

The blaster she wields is an interesting choice for a weapon as we never actually see her use it in the movie. However, many fans will recognize it from promo shots done for the release of Episode V which I found to be a fun little nod. We've been waiting for a Hoth Leia for a long time and this one does not disappoint!

Next September marks the twentieth anniversary of Hasbro's Kenner The Power Of The Force action figure collection. The line introduced a new generation of children to the wonderful world of Star Wars toys and ushered in the modern collectibles we all enjoy today. Our ever-inquisitive Probe Droid is actively searching all corners of the galaxy to find out if there is interest in products that commemorate this very significant 1995 release.
I'd be into a Hasbro The Lost Line style assortment
I'd love to see Gentle Giant make a Jumbo Kenner 1995 Luke Skywalker
I'm behind both of these ideas!
I got started in 1995, but I have no interest in such a concept.
It isn't for me.
